“Most Haunted Site in India”

Once a magnificent palace in the heart of Rajasthan, the Bhangarh Fort now lies in ruins, shrouded in mystery and haunted by the ghosts of its past.

The fort in the Alwar district of Rajasthan, India, was built in the 17th century by the Kachwaha ruler, Raja Madho Singh and was a prosperous city with several temples, palaces, and markets.

The Plot

However, the grandeur of the fort was soon overshadowed by a dark history.

Legend has it that the fort was cursed by a local Tantrik named Singhia, who fell in love with the princess of Bhangarh, Ratnavati. The Tantrik tried to use his magic to seduce the princess, but she refused. Furious with her rejection, Singhia cursed the fort, causing its downfall. In retaliation, he cast a spell on a perfume that Ratnavati was buying, intending to make her fall in love with him. But the princess discovered the plot and threw the perfume away. It hit a boulder and caused it to roll over Singhia, killing him.

The Aftermath

Shortly after his death, the fort was attacked and destroyed, leading to the downfall of the once-prosperous city. It is believed that Singhia’s curse still lingers over the fort. And anyone who enters it after dark will never return...
